Biografische Anmerkung

Often, I hear preachers and others in ministry say, "God don't bless mess," but I'm here to tell you that God sure can birth a message out of a mess! There isn't any mess that is too messy for God to clean up. God is in the recycling business and He is recycling human beings like me and you. Man may call it trash, but guess what, we are treasure in God's eyes. At one point my life was messy, and then God placed my mess into a recycling bin and He began the restoration process. Only God could have 'flipped the script' on my messed-up life and brought forth a message. Looking back, I realize my mistakes didn't disqualify me from His grace. I've taken so many wrong turns, yet He still made a way. God will use the foolish things of the world to confound the mind of the wise. 1 Corinthians 1:27 God saw fit to forge a message out of my mess. When life gets messy, it's natural for us to get stressed, angry, or even bitter. This is especially true when things don't go the way we expect (i.e. broken marriage, dysfunctional family, loss of a loved one, sickness, death of a dream etc.). Let's face it, life consists of messes. They aren't always because you've done something wrong. Sometimes, they just happen. One of my favorite scriptures, James 1:2-3 tells us to 'consider it all joy' when we encounter various trials, knowing the testing of our faith produces endurance. "And let endurance have its perfect result, so that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing" (Verse 4) The purpose of this book is to show God's faithfulness throughout my life. I've learned that most of the time when trouble comes, God wants to sharpen, mold, and transform us into something greater. He wants us to see a side of Himself that we haven't seen yet. He wants others to see the amazing things He can do in our lives if we trust Him with our mess.

Sabine Barreau was born in Port-Au-Prince, Haiti in October of 1982. She migrated to the United States in March of 1989 and grew up in Crown Heights Brooklyn, New York. The proud founder and CEO of Dynamic Women of Faith and Purpose, Inc, a nonprofit organization dedicated to raising awareness for women of all walks of life impacted by cancer, Sabine passionately declares, "I was called to help young girls and women. Ministry for me extends outside of the four walls of the church. It's going to the very dark places; the street corners, the crack houses, and the clubs and snatching our young girls and women out of the hands of the streets!" Sabine currently resides in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. This is her first book.
